Gypsy Days Parade with the Drift Busters
The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club attended the 2024 Northern State University Gypsy Days Parade. Special Thank You to the Jager family for hosting the float for the Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club. What a great way to gain exposure for the Club.
2024 International Snowmobile Day
The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club will be celebrating International Snowmobile Day by hosting a Show and Shine Event on the Ken’s Fairway Parking Lot. The event will be held Saturday, October 26th from 11-3pm. The event is open to the public with a grilled hotdog lunch served by the Aberdeen Drift Buster Club members. New this year! We will have an area set up for snowmobiles for sale. If you have a sled for sale, bring it out! Along with snowmobile for show and for sale we will have an area set up with a snowmobile simulator for youth and rider education. Again, this event is free and open to the public.
Sizzlin Summer Nights Car Show
Saturday, August 24, 2024 The Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club will have a booth during the 2024 Sizzlin Summer Nights Car Show on Downtown Main Street Aberdeen. Stop by the booth and check out a couple snowmobiles from some of the Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Members. We will also be selling 2024/2025 Aberdeen Drift Buster Memberships and Sponsorships.
Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Membership Campout
September 13-14, 2024 Drift Busters will be holding their membership campout at Wylie Park Campground. As in the past, there will be camping, campfires, turkeys, potlucks, go carts and a whole lot of fellowship! The fun will begin Friday the 13th with turkeys cooked in fryers. Arrive as early as you want, dinner will be at 6:30pm. *Please bring a dish to pass (this can be as easy as chips, dips, watermelon, desserts, etc.). The club will provide the turkeys, plates, silverware, napkins, soft drinks and water. This will be followed by some club games and a campfire Saturday, the potluck dinner will be from 5:00-6:00 in the Birdhouse (New Location). Joey Nagel will be making pulled pork. *Please bring a dish to pass. The club will provide the pork, plates, silverware, napkins, soft drinks and water. From 6:30 to 7:30, the club reserved the go-carts for a private party. Following the go-carts will be another campfire. Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Steak Feed
The Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club Steak and Hamburger Feed was held on Saturday, April 6th at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge. The weather was pretty windy, so it was nice to be inside the Elks Lodge. This gave everyone room to spread out and enjoy the event. From Left, Right, Center, to a giant Jenga set, everyone was entertained. Members were asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Aberdeen Salvation Army. Michelle Malsom the Club Secretary dropped off the donation. Thank you, Kelly and Casey Weismantel and the Aberdeen Elks Lodge for hosting us!
Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Poker “Chip” Run
The Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club Poker "Chip" Run hosted just under 50 members. The weather was actually too warm to ride the Dakota Midland Trail. The participants traveled by vehicle and UTV to the Poker "Chip" Run stops. The Club gained 2 new family memberships and 1 new associate memberships. Thank you all that participated. Thank you, The Crossing Bar, Richmond Oasis, and Karen's Place in Columbia for hosting us!
Snowmobile Club Rides
When weather and adequate snow allows, the club organizes at least a couple snowmobile rides per month. These scheduled rides are made at the monthly meetings and will generally include a start time, location and trail leader for contact. Aberdeen Drift Buster Snowmobile Club Poker Run
The Aberdeen Drift Busters Snowmobile Club Poker Run hosted just over 80 riders today. The weather was perfect. The trail was great but took a beating. The Club gained 5 new family memberships and 2 new associate memberships. Thank you all that participated. Thank you, Richmond Oasis, The SHED in Westport and The Crossing Bar at Mina Lake for hosting us!
